The Feast of St. Rose of Lima

SAINT ROSE OF LIMA
by Bernadette, age 7
St. Rose of Lima is my favorite saint. She lived in Lima, Peru. Ferdinand,
her brother, had a little girl named Mary Rose. At first, Saint Rose of Lima was called Isabel by her grandmother.
After her confirmation, she was called Rose. As a 5-year-old girl, she learned to read and write. That
is why Saint Rose of Lima is my favorite saint.
Saint
Rose died in 1617 in the home of Don Gonzalo. Dona Maria was Don
Gonzalo's wife.
